Secure Digital Print
Bassette prints customized documents with confidential data (account numbers, PINs, social security numbers, income data, etc). These documents can be used to cross-sell or provide reference information to existing clients.
A large Fortune 100 client asked us to enter this business. Our client saw the potential in our digital print, mail and fulfillment capabilities. The one thing missing was top-notch security to print confidential information. We worked with our client's Information Security Department for six months before we were ultimately approved as a secure print vendor.
Bassette's security measures include:
- Personnel: All secure print personnel undergo criminal background checks, sign non-disclosure agreements and receive specialized ongoing training.
- Computer network security: Our secure print network is completely closed, with no connections to other networks.
- Physical security: The building perimeter is secure and the secure print room has highly limited access (even "regular" Bassette employees cannot access the room during secure print mode). Confidential print jobs are kept locked away until delivered to the U.S. Postal Service or turned over to an approved parcel delivery service (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
- Procedures: A special written procedure is created for each secure print job. This is in addition to our "blanket" secure print procedures.
- Audits: Bassette does periodic audits to ensure procedures are being followed. We update procedures as conditions change. In addition, we are audited periodically by our clients.
